Coronavirus 19

It is with great sadness that following the announcement yesterday evening by our Prime Minister Boris Johnson and direction from our Archbishops of Canterbury and York

The Church is now closed until further notice

Please scroll down for recordings of our services

Funerals are the only service permitted in churches at this time but there are restrictions in place to the number of people who can attend and they have to adhere to the social distancing guidelines.

This is a stressful time for us all, but please ensure that you do keep safe by following the instructions laid down yesterday.

For more details on the instructions please goto the Government website

We also encourage you to keep a regular prayer life praying for the world, our country, our leaders, those on the front line and ourselves at this time.

The Church of England website has the daily prayers and can be accessed by following the links under the Coronavirus 19 page

If you have any concerns please feel free to contact us.

A Prayer for us all at this time.

Keep us, good Lord,
Under the shadow of your mercy.
Sustain and support the anxious,
be with those who care for the sick,
and lift up all who are brought low;
that we may find comfort
knowing that nothing can separate
us from your love
in Jesus Christ our Lord

Rev Dawn writes;
Daily prayer is a great way of connecting with God and with each other, can I suggest that at 4.00pm every day we all sit down and pray through this booklet together. It's a great way of connecting with our heavenly Father and with each other. Praying together at the same time will help us all to feel connected and will be encouragement for our faith at this difficult time.
God bless,

We are also emailing out a weekly bulletin, Holy Cross Life line, which can also be downloaded  here.
