“You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hidden. No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5: 14-16)
At Holy Cross church we endeavour to be a light in the darkness for the people of Daventry. We want to help our neighbours in practical ways and we want to encourage others to discover the love God has for each and every one of us. Please do come and visit us, at the church, or feel free to contact us via our contact page , by Facebook or by telephone.
We look forward to meeting you soon.
O God the source of all light,
May we bring light to your world,
Drawing out your presence in the
everyday.
As we offer you our lives,
Shape us as disciples,
That we may reveal your goodness
And reflect your light.
In Jesus name,
Amen.

Coronavirus 19
Update on Holy Cross Opening

As from the 3rd December we are allowed to come back to our churches to worship and praise God.
We do hope you would like to join us and look forward to seeing you.
If you do want to come, you will need to book a place due to the ongoing restrictions and the links are further down the page.
We also encourage you to keep a regular prayer life praying for the world, our country, our leaders, those on the front line and ourselves at this time.
Resources and Useful contact information can be found on the Coronavirus 19 page
If you have any concerns please feel free to contact us.
A Prayer for us all at this time.
Keep us, good Lord,
Under the shadow of your mercy.
Sustain and support the anxious,
be with those who care for the sick,
and lift up all who are brought low;
that we may find comfort
knowing that nothing can separate
us from your love
in Jesus Christ our Lord
Amen.

Daily prayer is a great way of connecting with God and with each other, can I suggest that at 4.00pm every day we all sit down and pray through this booklet together. It's a great way of connecting with our heavenly Father and with each other. Praying together at the same time will help us all to feel connected and will be encouragement for our faith at this difficult time.
God bless,
Dawn.
