Funerals
Matthew 5:4
‘Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.’
If you are here because you have lost a loved one we are truly sorry. As well as being here for times of joy and celebration, Holy Cross also exists to give hope and comfort in more difficult and challenging times.
The funeral service is for friends and family to gather together, to express their grief, to give thanks for the life which has now completed its journey in this world and to commend their loved one into God’s keeping.
We are here to:
- offer you pastoral care and support in difficult times of grief
- find appropriate ways to honour and celebrate the lives of loved ones who have died
- commend their souls to God's love and care
Church of England funeral is available to everyone.
