Lent, Holy Week and Easter

Lent

Lent Starts the Wednesday after Shrove Tuesday (Pancake day). It Lasts for 6 weeks and is a time of penitence and preparation to prepare ourselves for Holy week and the Great Feast of Easter. During Lent it is traditional to give up something that you would normally have and enjoy (alcohol for example)

This is the most important period in the Christian calendar.  We invite you to join in as many of these services as you can.  Through worship we are helped to understand the mystery of the cross and resurrection and to have a fresh understanding of their importance in our lives

Lent Course - Tuesdays at 2.00pm
This year our Lent Course will run on Tuesday afternoons 2-3.30pm in the Church Hall until 28th March. We will be looking at Gospel readings from Matthew and John, using Lectio Divina as a way of helping us to go deeper into God's word. Do join us if you can.
